Looking for fun ways to ring in the new year in Baton Rouge? Spend your night rockin' out at Red Stick Revelry! From live music to fireworks at midnight, Red Stick Revelry is returning live for 2021. Here is how you can enjoy your New Year's night out with us.

The Entertainment

What would a New Year's Eve shindig be without some entertainment? This year, they will be displaying two all-new laser light shows for you to experience. You can choose whether you want to watch one or both - that's up to you.

There are two bands that will be taking the stage, each bringing their own unique musical flair to the event. Press 1 For English is a seasoned local dance band with a variety of musical influences stemming from its members' unique backgrounds. You will also get the chance to see the world renowned brass band The Michael Foster Project.

Of course, going back to being a live event from 2020's virtual event means that the fireworks show at midnight is back! Gather together with your family and friends for a countdown to New Year's, which will be rung in with a mind-blowing fireworks display that starts promptly at the stroke of midnight, hailing the arrival of 2022.

A Kid-friendly New Year's Eve Tradition

Parents of young children, you are not being left out by any stretch of the imagination. From 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the River Center Library and Town Square, you can participate in the family-friendly Red Stick Revelry tradition of story-telling.

Aside from stories being told to the kids, there will be arts and crafts activities going on. At noon, the Red Stick Rises in the Town Square, which is accompanied by a rousing rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" - a sing-along in which you and the family can all participate. (It's totally okay if you don't know the lyrics!)

If your kids enjoy puppet shows, have them stick around for a special performance by puppeteer Clay Achee and his delightful gang of puppets. Clay is the creator of Ziggy and the Junkyard Band - an engaging show centering around an alien, rock and roll, and life in general.
